The Study Guide of Dutch for Foreigners
The Dutch Course for Foreigners consists of:
- A Course book consists of 43 lessons with practical texts about Dutch Situations. No difficult terms, many example sentences are used. Plenty of fill-in and answer the questions and translate the words exercises are used. Extra easy to practice with Cloze Texts: You have to fill-in the missing words in the text. All the texts from this course book can also be listened via the supplied 2 CDs. The Book is provided with glossaries in Arabic, German, English, French, Spanish and Turkish as standard.
- Glossaries in Bulgarian, Chinese, Farsi, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kurdish, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Thai, Czech, Vietnamese or Swedish. These glossaries are also on the CD-ROM that you have received the package. If you are not going to use a computer to follow this course, you can use the free glossaries.
- CD-ROM: All the words and texts with illustrations and audio fragments from the Course book are recorded on CD-ROM for computer usage. With one click, you can get the translations in all above-mentioned languages. A perfect supplement for this Course book. Of course, you can follow this course as well, even without a computer.
- Two audio-CDs: To play in your CD-Player at home, in your car or in a Discman. All the texts from the course book can be listened and repeated.
- Exercises: Let your pronunciations be checked.
- Instructions for homework (as far as possible in your native language): in which it is explained how you can do your homework and submit/send it to your teacher.
Certificate Dutch for Foreigners
After completing your language course, you can apply for a NHA-Certificate when you have submitted/sent all your homework and have scored an average sufficient mark (5,5 or higher).
Pre-education
For this Course; no special training is required. We assume that you have less or even no knowledge of this foreign language when you start with this course.

You determine where, when and how to study. And you can always determine your own tempo. That is why it is excellent to combine this course with your busy job or your hobbies. You can start with this course on each day of a year.
Flexibility: You receive the lessons printed and digital
You receive the complete course package in a luxury ring-binder at home per post. In most cases you can also find the course package in the digital learning environment Plaza. So you can always study the way that suits you the best.
Personal assistance
Thanks to the personal guidance of our expert teachers, you are not alone. You can send your homework assignments at the end of each lesson to your teacher (per post of via our digital learning environment), who will reply you soon. Your homework will be corrected, provided with advices, explanations, mark and your possible questions will be answered. You can use this personal study guidance for 5 years for all the NHA courses. This is a unique service in the Netherlands.
When you start with this course, your personal teacher will introduce him/herself.

The duration of Study
